The concept that I find the hardest to get through to my clients is the importance of sun protection.
Clients either;
Have it, but don’t use it.
Have it, but only use it when it’s hot out.
Have it but don’t like it on the skin, too greasy or makes their skin appear grey or too white.
Or just don’t see the point.
Sound familiar?
Well, I’m sorry folks but it is the most important part of your skincare and will prevent premature aging, sunspots, and dark shadows on your face. So it needs to be worn every day, during daylight hours.
Shop around, there are some great products on the market, that will look after your skin.
There are two types of protective lotions – chemical and physical.
Sun-blocks, the physical kind, contains both organic and non-organic ingredients that sit on top of the skin acting as a barrier between your skin and damaging UV rays by reflecting or scattering UVB light.
Sunscreens, the chemical kind, penetrates the skin and absorbs the UVA rays before they are able to reach and damage your dermal layer.
In order to fully protect your skin, you must choose a cream or lotion that is broad-spectrum protection, This means it will fully protect you against both UVA and UVB rays.
If it doesn’t say “broad spectrum” it's not FULL UV protection.
Healthy and well-protected skin, Is happy skin!
